Terms of Service

The short version

Deskbound is a personal fitness companion. Use it at your own pace and your own risk. We provide it as-is, we’ll do our best to keep it working, and we can’t be held liable if your knees disagree with squats.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Deskbound. If you’re under 18, you should have a parent or guardian agree to these terms with you.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe. If someone uses your account, that’s on you until you tell us otherwise.

You can close your account at any time from the Settings screen. We may suspend or close an account if it’s used to harass other users, attack our systems, or break the law.

Acceptable use

Don’t:

• Use the app to harass, threaten, or impersonate other users
• Try to break, reverse-engineer, or overload our servers
• Scrape, resell, or rebrand the app or its data
• Upload content you don’t have the right to use

Do:

• Squat at a pace your body can handle
• Treat the leaderboard like friendly competition, not a battle
• Tell us if something is broken

Health disclaimer

Deskbound is not a medical device, and we are not your doctor. The exercises suggested in the app are general fitness movements. If you have any pre-existing condition (back, knee, hip, heart, pregnancy, anything), talk to a qualified professional before starting a new movement routine. Stop immediately if anything hurts in a way that isn’t normal muscle effort.

The app, as it stands

We provide Deskbound as-is and as-available. We do not promise it will be bug-free, available 24/7, or perfectly suited to your specific goals. We may change features, pricing, or the app itself with reasonable notice.

Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Deskbound and its makers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the app, including injury, lost data, or lost streaks. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you’ve paid us in the last 12 months (which, for most users, is zero).

This does not limit any rights you have under consumer law in your country.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the app changes meaningfully. When we do, we’ll bump the “Updated” date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
